IS IT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE HAPPINESS?
Share
If there is one thing we all share, it is the desire to be happy. Our aspirations, dreams, and goals vary from one person to another, but we will hardly meet a person who does not aspire from the bottom of their being to live a life of profound happiness.
Since this is such a universal aspect, it is valid to ask, "what is happiness?
As with faith, there can be as many definitions of happiness as there are people. Some will speak of enjoying a sense of well-being, peace, and calm, referring to happiness as nothing more than the absence of torments and worries. Others will consider that happiness is only moments of extreme joy that we enjoy with small and big things that take place in our lives, and therefore it is not a permanent sensation.
Another way of looking at happiness is as a way of life. Happiness exceeds the range of sensation and emotion because we cannot be perpetually joyful. In this sense, happiness is a decision in which we combine feelings of peace, tranquility, harmony, and joy, despite the events in our lives and how we categorize them.
In this sense, this idea of happiness is based on the fact that it is not about the big goals and the satisfaction that this generates (although we undoubtedly feel delighted in these moments). It is about living a life with a purpose where every day is an opportunity to evolve and grow. It is about living a life with faith, and this faith can be understood as peace of mind about the future and the past, knowing that I am making my present the experience I wish to live and that there is no better way to guarantee a good life than doing something during the only moment I can manipulate.
Happiness, faith, and evolution are not isolated terms. Anyone who wants to overcome the idea that happiness is a utopia and wants to enjoy it as a way of looking at life must start from the idea that life itself is an absolute miracle. Therefore everything around us is also a miracle.
The inner work implies looking for sensations of peace based on our faith, that is, on the certainty that everything works for the better and our absolute good. May the others transform the light where we see darkness take refuge and my place from which they wanted to escape and evidence from our relationship with ourselves the immense healing power of love.
Happiness is a decision we make day after day and that is aligned with our purposes. When we learn to listen to our inner guide, we immediately find the answers we trust in the path shown to us.
Let us all be happy; let us decide to be satisfied. There is no more effective way to ensure a better world.
